Summer Deck at Dusk

I had this image in my mind of the a nice house on a large private piece of land surrounded by woods with lush grass that had just been mowed, after the sun went down but before it was completely dark. In my mind I was running around barefoot in that grass as a young girl with a friend, smelling the smells of a warm summer night, hearing the locusts and crickets starting to chirp, trying to get as much playing squeezed in before it's completely dark. It's not often that I get such a vivid image of something that isn't a memory but just an imagining, but this was one of them. I think it turned out quite close to the image I had in mind. Done with oil pastels on paper.
